dB and level ratios
Convert a level difference into amplitude and power ratios. This does not convert dBFS to acoustic SPL.
Method and assumptions
Amplitude ratio = 10^(dB/20); power ratio = 10^(dB/10).

Find the nearest equal-tempered note using A4 = 440 Hz. Enharmonic names are simplified; instrument tuning and musical context can differ.
MIDI-like note value = 69 + 12 log2(frequency/440). Cents are measured from the nearest note.
Estimate raw PCM audio payload. Headers, compressed codecs, DAW sessions and plug-in assets are not included.
Bytes = sample rate × bit depth ÷ 8 × channels × seconds.
Translate a time delay into a phase angle at one frequency. Broadband signals have a different phase angle at every frequency.
Degrees = 360 × frequency × delay_seconds; wrapped angle is modulo 360.
Estimate ideal equal-tempered fret positions from the nut. This is a mathematical reference, not a compensated instrument construction specification.
Distance = scale length × (1 − 2^(−fret/12)).
Split one beat into two durations using a selected long:short ratio. Different performers and styles use changing swing, not one universal percentage.
Beat duration = 60000/BPM; long = beat × ratio/(ratio+1).
Estimate repeats needed to fall below a chosen relative level. The model assumes identical linear feedback with no filtering, saturation or noise floor.
Each repeat multiplies amplitude by feedback; repeat count = ceil(log(target_amplitude)/log(feedback)).
See a simplified hard-knee response above threshold. This omits attack, release, knee, makeup gain and detector behaviour.
Above threshold: output = threshold + (input−threshold)/ratio.
Select the symptom. Start with reversible checks; protect your hearing and stop before loud feedback.
A listening sequence using controls you already have; it does not assume buying extra pedals.
Choose the immediate goal. Use short focused repetitions, take breaks and stop if playing causes pain.
Use roles to decide what to simplify before adding more parts.
